A 20 year old Huron Township Resident has been hospitalized after a serious crash involving one vehicle and a train.
The crash happened on Thursday, March 19 just before 11:00 a.m. near Huron River Drive and Collins.
Huron Police Chief Everette Robbins says that the investigation reveals that the driver ignored the crossing signals and tried to go around the railroad crossing gates causing the crash.
The driver was transported to Southshore Hospital in Trenton to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Robbins said alcohol or drugs do not initially appear to be a factor in the crash.
