Two unknown male suspects attempted to gain entry into a residence in the 23000 block of Pheasant Run on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 9:30 p.m., according to Huron Township Police Chief Everette Robbins.
Robbins said a homeowner reported the suspicious incident after witnessing two men approaching a home with pizza boxes and a 2-liter of Coke in their hands.
The witness said that the men went up to the residence and attempted to turn the door knob to gain entry. According to Robbins, the door was locked and after the homeowner confronted them, the suspects fled in an unknown vehicle.
The suspects left behind the empty pizza boxes and the empty Coke bottle before fleeing the scene.
Robbins said the homeowner did not immediately notify the department to report the indecent.
A similar incident also occurred in Brownstown in the 27300 block of Sibley Road at midnight on the same evening. The witness to that incident was able to get a description of one of the male suspects.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing blue jeans, a black Carhartt style jacket with a hood, carrying a black bag. The suspect’s vehicle is an older model, rusted out, Cadillac type vehicle, according to police.
