According to Huron Township Police Chief Everette Robbins, a pursuit of a vehicle that was involved in a breaking and entering in a neighboring community ended in the Huron Estates mobile home complex at around 6 a.m. Thursday morning.

Full details of the event are unavailable at this moment, but police say that the suspects in the vehicle were possibly involved in a breaking and entering in Brownstown Township early Thursday morning.

Brownstown police pursued the vehicle into Huron Township and into Huron Estates.

During the pursuit, the suspects rammed a Huron patrol vehicle head on while it was parked. According to a resident in the complex, following the crash, the car then slammed into a mobile home. The suspects then fled on foot.

The suspects were then located coming out of a nearby window of a home following the tip of a resident at around 10 a.m., and Huron police responded and chased them on foot through Huron Estates and arrested both suspects.

Two suspects were arrested following the incident, and Brownstown Police Department will be handling the investigation.

Robbins said the officer driving the car that was hit head on was treated at a local hospital and should make a full recovery.
