Last night as I finished up some yard work on my property in New Boston, my eyes couldn’t help but be mesmerized by what was happening in the south-eastern portion of the sky. As the sun was setting, giant clouds were making their way across the sky, but these weren’t your normal, friendly puffy clouds.
Lightning could be seen radiating within the clouds for the majority of the sunset and evening. According to WXYZ’s Chief Meteorologist Dave Rexroth, the cloud formation is called a cumulonimbus cloud and was in the area of Cedar Point. Take a look:
